Several times a year, various techniques
are demonstrated, hands on projects are done, or special programs
are presented. These programs may be slide shows of other guilds
or national shows. Occasionally there may be an outside/local
teacher giving a class. Sometimes these are combined with Community
Service workshops. |

| Community Service Workshops: |
Approximately nine times a year, the Community
Service Committee plans workshops. We usually meet at the Senior
Center, 1424 Moore St.; see map for directions (PDF, new page
will open), on the Saturday following the monthly meeting from
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. We provide the labor and machines, and the
Guild provides the materials. Most of the quilts are given
to individuals who have lost everything in a house fire. |
 |
| Small Quilt Groups: |
Generally these are very unstructured groups
who meet in members' homes or one of the quilt stores as often
as weekly or as little as monthly. Members are encouraged to
start their own group among those of like interest or to join
present groups. |
